Daniel Graves
Assistant Chief Dan Graves has over 20 years of experience in emergency services. Beginning his career at a young age, he joined the Cuyler Fire Department (Cortland County).Graves has had a passion to help people in need so after relocating to Tully, Graves joined the Tully Hose Co#1. Chief Graves received several commendations throughout his fire career including receiving the Central New York Firefighters Association’s (CNYFA) Firefighter of the Year 2019 Valor Award and New York State Assembly Citation Proclamation for his act of bravery battling a fire in the Village of Tully.
Outside of the Tully Hose Co.#1, Chief Graves works for Nelson Tree Service, LLC, where he’s on the Nelson Storm Support Team (SST). When electrical services are interrupted due to storms, natural disasters, or other unforeseen circumstances, utility companies depend on the SST for fast, expert assistance. Graves enjoys to spend time with his wife, son and daughter including camping and side-by-side riding. Chief Graves’s son, Caden, is currently a Junior Firefighter with the Tully Hose Company #1.
